Sunshine Sensation
Sunshine Sensation is a hard to find, midseason, single to semi-double intersectional (an Itoh peony which is a hybrid created by crossing a tree peony and an herbaceous peony). This wonderfully unique peony is reminiscent of huge Helleborus. The blooms begin with an unexpected pinkish-orange appearance upon first opening and are constantly transitioning through pink and salmon pastels, finally coming to rest at a delicious cream. The special flowers are supported by strong stems that do not need staking. The foliage is attractive and sturdy, resulting in a great looking plant all year round.
